Project Hunger Announcement

Humans are not alone anymore.  Vampires have risen from the Network to become the rulers of the land.  The United States is no longer, and this land belongs to the Thirteen.  The rare hybrids appeared from the military bases with no memories of their past and are a great danger against the vampires.  Blighteds, former vampiric victims of the hybrids now something entirely different, wandering around and trying to find their place in this new reality.  The Great Culling changed everything and humanity is in grave danger. What does humanity even mean or is it even a thing anymore?

What is Project Hunger?

Project Hunger is a survival horror tabletop roleplaying game based on The Resistance System designed by Rowan, Rook, and Decard.  This hack is designed by Root and Xenon with 3-6 players including 1 gamemaster in mind.  Players can customize their character by picking one of four possible races and one of nine possible classes.  The core rulebook is currently being written including a new mechanic called Moral Meter with its own unique fallouts!

We will announce when we have a playtest package to share soon.  Stay tuned!

The Arsonists Almanac Issue 2 by HeadCannon Industries : A fanzine for Spire RPG chockfull of content to run a party-crashing one-shot or campaign.  One thing I really liked is the writer provided suggestions of what to include for certain length of play such as 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours, or 13 or more hours.  This is a very nice guide for a GM to design their session(s) depending on how long they want to run for how many sessions.  Even include some pregen characters!   Honestly, just check it out and it is free!  Rating: 5/5

Troika Star Space Backgrounds and Monsters by Charvus : The title said it all.  You get bunch of background based on some well known sci-fi characters such as formerly Borg (ala Seven of Nine), desert farmer (Luke/Anakin Skywalker), etc.  There are few monsters but would like to see more to make it easier to run something with this.  Another thing is this could use some layout editing to make it more legible. PWYW to download!  Rating: 4/5

100 Horses for Cairn by Dice Goblin Games : Again, the title said it all. A d100 table of horses to use with Cairn.  This includes name, physical appearances, stats, and cost.  You also get 1 page of rules related to the horses like how to travel, use horse in combat, inventory, and morale.  PWYW to download! Rating: 5/5

#DUNGEON23

It’s been a little over one month since I’ve started my #dungeon23 project.  I definitely have not been fully consistent with writing an entry each day.  However, I still make up for the days I’ve missed on the days I have enough energy and time to do so.  Some days, I focus on adding the entries in the Publisher for a potential zine or book.  I’ve uploaded an ashcan draft to itch as well.  Feel free to check it out here.  I do not have a title for the project yet, as I’m still figuring out how the clusters are connected.  I would love to hear your thoughts on what I’ve written so far.
